When are we happy?

When we are busy doing something

Or when we just don't do anything.

Perhaps we are happy!

When we tell stories to children

Or when we croon a favorite tune.

Perhaps we are happy!

When we do selfless service

And don't want anything for ourselves.

Are we happy then?

When we pray

Be thankful to the Lord.

Are we happy then?

This life is too short for love!

Let's enjoy and be happy!

Let's understand our loved ones!

Let's recognize a stranger!
